Duties and responsibilities: The medical assistant has to answer telephones, greet patients, update and fill the patients information, schedule appointments, and do laboratory services.
Salary: The median pay is $30,590.
Education: The minimum requirement is a high school diploma but some states require some training or examinations for those who do clinical work.
Demand for this profession: The demand for this profession is to grow 24% from 2014-2024.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I think I would like to be one because since I was smaller, I’ve been wanting to work in the medical field. I want to either be an RN or a medical surgeon.
