Dental Assistant
Duties and responsibilities: Dental assistants work under the supervision of a dentist. They work with patients by performing tasks before and after the dentist meets with the patient. They also assist the dentist during surgical procedures.
Salary: Median pay is $34,500
Educational Requirements: Post secondary non-degree award.
Demand for this profession: The demand for dental assistants are to grow faster than average through the year 2014.

I think I would like to be a dental assistant because I would like to take x-rays of people’s teeth and brush their teeth with the machine that they use.
