Optician
Duties and responsibilities: Opticians are eye care professionals who select and fit contacts and eyeglasses for patients. After an ophthalmologist writes a prescription, opticians take eye measurements and determine how a patient's occupation, lifestyle and facial features affect his or her eye wear needs.
Salary: The median pay is $34,340.
Education: You must have a high school diploma with on the job training or apprenticeship; certificate, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree for opticianry for career advancement.  
Demand for this profession: The demand for this profession is to grow 24% from 2014-2024.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I think I would like to be one because they have good pay and I would like to learn more about how the eye works.
