What this quote is trying to say is that no matter what, if you don’t have any goals how will you get through life. Your goals help you so you know what you're going to do. They lead you in the right path so you can keep on following your dreams. Without your goalposts, you won’t know which direction to go. Your mom isn’t going to always be by your side to guide you through life. Eventually you are going to need to start making your own decisions. You are going to have to follow what you want to be in life to make it happen. Without your goals, you can’t. You will be stuck not knowing what to do when the time comes for you to graduate high school. You will go somewhere but not very far. If you want to stay behind then don’t make any goals. If you want to follow the way the wing takes you, then you should make goals. Goals is what will get you your career and that good paying job that you want. Your mind will be focused on wanting to reach that goal. It won’t be on partying and doing drugs because you have a mindset of what you want to become in life. No one else but YOU.
